Since 2018, Wheaton Arts Parade has operated an art gallery in Wheaton as part of its mission is to bring the community together with art and to help Wheaton realize its potential as an Arts & Entertainment District. Gallery operations are supported in part with a grant from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County. WAP is currently looking for a new location in Wheaton to reopen its gallery.
Meanwhile, WAP is collaborating with the Compass Art Center in Kensington to operate WAP Gallery 2. This March, WAP Gallery 2 featured more than 90 works of original art by 30 WAP Gallery associate artists. As always at the WAP Gallery, the artists received 90% of all sales proceeds.
The WHEATON ARTS PARADE mission is to bring the community together with art, to support local artists and to celebrate Wheaton’s diverse cultures.
